If we’re made in Gods image it must be one cosmically vile evil murderous entity to have created us.

I dunno, I just feel like 1) the plagiarism charges against Gay at Harvard felt like a little much. Lazy citations isn’t the same thing and it shouldn’t have warranted her resignation. 2) the Gay resignation was led by a Harvard alum who showed that all you’ve gotta be is well-born to control the world. Intelligence and integrity aren’t all that crucial. 3) speaking of which, we learned that 80% of all grades given out at Yale were either A and A-. Not exactly Chapel Hill or Public Ivy schools. 4) Ivy League schools seemed damned if you do, damned if you don’t when it came to Israel v. Gaza. People wanted them to be wrong. 5) same with free speech versus, well, other free speech on Ivy League campuses. 6) working class folks are really struggling, but they’re being gaslit by “experts” who are mostly Ivy League educated.

Every single one of these points are arguable and you can probably make a better one than I just did. But it just feels like there’s something different this election cycle. Ivy League is a land of “others” and it feels like “others” aren’t well-liked right now.
