There's no reason why you can't combine commentary with poetry. I don't have your chops, but the following came to me as I was watching my dog defecate:
From what I’m watching from my perch, the gestapo have landed everywhere that immigrants may be and renditioning them in spite of what the courts are saying. I’m thinking that it may take neighborhoods where there are at risk residents to establish gestapo watches that will harass the hell out of them with bullhorns, film and every kind of resistance short of physical. People are not sure those carrying out these seizures are who they say they are. They are masked, wearing all sorts of clothing, no identifying tags; you know, using usual strong arm tactics. These turds need to know that when they go into a neighborhood they will catch all sorts of loud, rowdy hell. Since they are also grabbing people at the courthouses, do the same there. If they are going to be nasty, make them miserable while they’re doing it. Get loud.
